Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) 2017-2018


Goal:  To create a successful team to inform, engage, and activate parents and families to support students’ learning, social emotional support, school improvement goals, and school events.


Who: 10 parent volunteers of Belvidere students


What you can expect:

  • Updates from Principal on School Improvement Goals
  • Review of Grade level learning expectations and power standards
  • Review of behavior expectations
  • Updates of upcoming events
  • Updates on policy changes
  • Updates on school finances
  • Safety updates or concerns

Your responsibilities:

  • Communicate to other families information and positive support of the school
  • Greet new families that move into Belvidere during the school year
  • Attend monthly meetings- 3rd Mondays of each month at 2:30 pm
  • Advise principal through recommendations and feedback
  • Support staff and school events
  • Special presentations from teachers and school group members
  • Updates and information from school partners
  • Updates and information about school events
  • Fundraising updates and requests for help
  • Volunteer opportunities for families to participate in school activities
  • School safety updates and discussions
