Our Principal
My name is Dr. Samantha Dane and I am so excited to introduce myself as principal of Belvidere Elementary. I have worked in the Grandview C-4 School District since 2010 as an elementary teacher, district instructional coach, and administrator.
Before beginning my career in education, I was fully immersed in the arts as the Company Manager of the Kansas City Repertory Theatre. Having been raised in the Kansas City area, I was excited to branch out and accept the opportunity to study theater through Boston University. After earning my Bachelor of Fine Arts, I came home to complete my Master of Fine Arts through the University of Missouri - Kansas City. While working as the Company Manager, I had the opportunity to work with and guide children in the arts through our various programs. I fell in love with education and realized that was where my heart truly lay. I went on to receive my Master of Education through Rockhurst University, my Educational Specialist through University of Central Missouri and my Doctorate of Education from Saint Louis University.
On a personal note, I have a wonderful family with four beautiful children - one in elementary school and one in middle school and two in high school. I want the best for them and I strive daily to make sure that each student in my school receives the high level of guidance, education, care, and experience that I would want for my own children.
